The committee have agreed to organise a cultural visit to Limoges in on or about 17th October 2017.
A self drive event, car sharing if necessary may be possible, meeting at the Tourist Office at 10.45.
We will then take the road train for a one hour visit around the very interesting streets and buildings
You will then be free to take lunch, there are plenty of restaurants close by the Tourist Office and for those that wish to have a guided English speaking afternoon tour of the magnificent Cathedral,
this is available as an extra providing we have 20 people wishing to do it. Otherwise we will look at other options for your day if required.
The cost for the morning train trip will be €5 and the same for the cathedral.
There is plenty of parking available in Limoges and we will give all details on booking.
Before we commence booking procedures we obviously need to know that enough members wish to go, so can you please advise me asap either way.
We will then send out a booking form to all.
I have received a couple of enquiries from members stating that they could not get into the new website. On further enquiries it would appear that some do not realise that they had to log in as a member to gain access to the full facility that, as in the previous website you also needed to do.
Your existing username and password has been transferred to the new website but if you cannot recall either or both of these then you need to contact Pat on email@example.com
and he will supply you with full access details.
In order to obtain details from posts entered for the various categories on the website you have to subscribe to those categories. This is due to the forthcoming implementation of new data protection rules.
Any problems, please contact in the first instance myself and if I am unable to help, I will seek advice from the expert.
I shall also be sending this message out via the website under announcements. You should all be able to receive it from there. Once again please let me know if you cannot.
Next Wednesday we will again be holding the monthly Meet and Eat at the Cafeteria in Confolens. We started this event at the request of some members and we hope that you can pop in where the committee will be there from about 12.00 and any queries that members may have can be discussed.
If any of you wish to donate any unwanted items for the CLE stall at the November 5th Christmas Fayre at Lessac, then please bring them along as well as yourselves or perhaps we can arrange collecting them if necessary.
We still have some stall space available for any who wish to sell their craft etc. Please remember that French law states that if you sell any item that you have manufactured or bought to sell on you have to have a siret number.
I am pleased to inform members that we have managed to obtain preferential rates for members with indigo car hire in the UK.
Our contact is Matt Carter tel: 00 44 113 48 77 077 e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org website: www.indigocarhire.co.uk
Please quote CLE when requesting a quote.
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.indigocarhire.co.uk will give you reviews on this company and we have personal recommendations
to support their competency.
Please also give us any feedback, as this is a new venture for CLE and we obviously wish to monitor how it progresses.
Not receiving emails is one thing I have tried to address with the new site. All posts (that is everything entered on the site) go through a web service designed to maximise delivery. Gmail and most email ftm; have two potential problem areas, their own automated “trustworthiness”detection, that can mean you never see the problem emails -this should be resolved by the mail service. The second area is the partly automated and partly personal spam detection. Always keep an eye on your spam folder. If you receive spam mark it as such. If you find emails in your spam folder that are not spam, be sure to mark them as not spam. Gmail will learn.
Hope this helps.
