In creating a new website our purpose was to empower members of CLE with as much automation as possible. You will get emails when news, events and announcements are published on the website. You can receive a monthly digest of these too. And you can unsubscribe from any of the emails the website send you.

The joining fee is just €20 and covers all persons in your household. Membership is valid for one year. Once you are a member, your annual renewal is €15.

Our knowledge base has assisted many new members when they first moved to France, especially when encountering and trying to deal with French bureaucracy

CLE can help you find language courses for beginners and at more advanced levels

CLE has close relationships with local organisations such as the Centre Social Culturel du Confolentais, (Confolens Social Centre) which has already helped the integration of newcomers into the local communities.

Events, seminars, social activities and visits are organised each year - see the Events list on the left of each web site page

There are CLE discussion groups on subjects such as Eating out, Fishing and Member Feedback and our Garden Group is particularly popular with regular luches and visits to gardens often opened specially for the CLE.  Check the sample of Events on the right to see what is planned for this year

Each member household receives the CLE Monthly Digest of that month's posts, a valuable source of up-to-the-minute news on subjects of direct interest to anyone living in the region. Back posts are all available on the members' web site.
